You Can Make And Use Your Own Edible Body Paint

It has been an age old custom and tradition to paint bodies for various purposes. Painting with all sorts of materials has been an art interspersed with tradition with the use of modernizing techniques and quality products. Had you ever thought that the masterpieces created on the human body that you marveled could give birth to edible body paint? This concept of edible body paint is extraordinary.. It is said you can’t have your cake and eat it too? Well now you can admire your body paint and eat it too.

The edible body paints are made out of products which you consume in your daily diet. So if you are tired of having your daily meal, and are in search of some new forms of eating you can try this. You can view a few samples on the internet. You will get a good collection of photos and pictures in the galleries that show you this art. There are even some videos in YouTube where you see people licking body paints off each other.

The edible body paints can be a good source of fun for couples. You can also try making some of your own. Why not try some? In the first edible body paint that you make create a gel mix by dissolving one packet of unflavored gelatin in ¼ cup of hot water. Now take ½ cup cornstarch and 1 1/2 c. of cold water and place this mixture on low heat in a saucepan.

Gently add the gel mixture which you had prepared earlier with ¼ cup glycerin and 2-3 drops of essence of your choice like strawberry or pineapple. Now divide this mixture into various small bowls and add different colors to each of them. Now that your paint is ready, you can start painting on the body.  There may be stains left but these can be removed with baking soda.

Looks like you’ve taken up to this idea and want more. Well then, here comes the second one. Take 3 tablespoon of beeswax and same quantity of coconut oil and cocoa butter. Melt this mixture over low heat and after it melts remove it from the flame. Now add 1 tablespoon of honey powder which is optional though I think it would give a nice flavor, and to it add ½ teaspoon of your favorite essence and food colour. Sounds tempting?

If you still haven’t had your full here’s another to try your hand at. Take a box of vanilla pudding instant mix. Add 2 c. of milk and to the mix. Now divide the pudding into equal portions and pour it in shot glasses. Add different liquid food colors. Refrigerate the mix for some time. You can add different flavoring extract to each shot glass like almonds, cherries and coconut and start creating your art on a human canvas.
